Johnny Walker at UFC 332, in the data.
Walker knocked out Mick Parkin in his UFC heavyweight debut. His Instagram and Wikipedia numbers from the weekend, set against the rest of the card, his peers and his own past fights.
Johnny Walker went into UFC 332 on a bad run: 1–3 in his previous four fights, the last a split-decision loss to Dominick Reyes in April. He was moving up to heavyweight for the first time, and in fight week he told MMA Fighting that, while cutting to 205 pounds, his vision would go dark in the middle of sparring (BoxingNews, 30 September). The UFC put his debut on the early prelims.
On Saturday 3 October in Salt Lake City, he knocked out Mick Parkin with a knee at 3:35 of the first round and earned a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus, on a card that set a record with nine first-round knockouts.
Between 2 and 6 October, Walker's account went from 2,034,125 to 2,045,941 followers, a gain of 11,816, or 0.58%. Payton Talbott, who also won by first-round stoppage on the same card, went from 342,849 to 366,514 followers, a gain of 23,665 on an account about six times smaller. Parkin, who lost the fight, gained 1.96%.

On the microphone after his win, Talbott named Sean O'Malley, while Walker called for world peace and did not name an opponent. The same day, the UFC booked Alex Pereira against Sergei Pavlovich at heavyweight for UFC 335 on 12 December, and MMA Fighting ran a reaction piece under the headline "Give me Walker vs. Poatan." About three hours after the knockout, Walker posted a warm-up reel to Instagram.
Wikipedia, against his own record
His earlier fights are compared through his Wikipedia page across eight language editions. In the three days from fight night, the page drew about 36,000 views above its normal level, fewer than after any of the wins below and about 6,000 more than after his split-decision loss to Dominick Reyes in April. Google Trends shows a similar picture, with fight week at 2.5 times his baseline against 2.3 times after the Reyes loss. On both measures, Saturday's win sits close to that loss.

His normal traffic has fallen over the same period, from about 2,500 views a day before the Cirkunov fight in 2019 to about 690 before Saturday. Measured against that smaller baseline, the three days after the Parkin fight averaged 18.5 times his normal daily views, which is a typical spike for one of his fights: they usually fall between 13 and 28 times. The Reyes loss came in at 14.1 times.

Notes on the data. Instagram followers read on 2, 4 and 6 October. Wikipedia views are summed over eight editions (English, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, French, Italian, Polish) from fight day through the next two days; normal is the daily average over three weeks ending a week before each fight. The Google Trends term "Johnny Walker" is shared with the whisky brand, so that series is noisier.
